This is a full Ubuntu Live CD, with the latest LinuxCNC (Version 2.5.0) on it.
Beeing a LTS (Long Term Support) version, this is expected to be supported for quite some time.
It features a real-time kernel (RTAI based), LinuxCNC.
Download the ubuntu-10.04-linuxcnc3-i386.iso,
burn it and try it out.

Older version - based on Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron LTS LiveCD (2009 - April)

An older emc2 Live version (2006 - Mar.)

This is a small linux live version (based on Puppy linux), with an older emc2 on it.
So simply burn a CD with the coolcncb05.iso (51.5 MB only), and you should be able to try it out.

EMC1 & BDI
The older version of emc1 has been packed into BDI (Brain Dead Install) disks.
Warning: This is a fork of the current EMC, the home for BDI has been moved to bdi4emc, please refer to that page for support, or releases.
