The latest LinuxCNC Live version - based on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx LTS LiveCD (2012 - April)

• This is a full Ubuntu Live CD, with the latest LinuxCNC (Version 2.5.0) on it.
  Beeing a LTS (Long Term Support) version, this is expected to be supported for quite some time.
  It features a real-time kernel (RTAI based), LinuxCNC.
  Download the ubuntu-10.04-linuxcnc3-i386.iso, burn it and try it out.

Older version - based on Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron LTS LiveCD (2009 - April)

• This is a full Ubuntu Live CD, with emc2 (Version 2.3.0) on it.
  Beeing a LTS (Long Term Support) version, this is expected to be supported for quite some time.
  It features a real-time kernel (RTAI based), emc2 and AXIS.
  Download the ubuntu-8.04-desktop-emc2-aj13-i386.iso, burn it and try it out.

Lots older version - based on Ubuntu 6.06.1 Dapper Drake LTS LiveCD (2007 - December)

• This is a full Ubuntu Live CD, with emc2 (Version 2.2.2) on it.
  Beeing a LTS (Long Term Support) version, this is expected to be supported for quite some time.
  It features a real-time kernel (RTAI based), emc2 and AXIS.
  Download the emc2.2.2-1-ubuntu6.06-desktop-i386.iso, burn it and try it out.

An older emc2 Live version (2006 - Mar.)

• This is a small linux live version (based on Puppy linux), with an older emc2 on it.
  So simply burn a CD with the coolcncb05.iso (51.5 MB only), and you should be able to try it out.
